BUILDING MODEL
![]()
The model makes use of a six-node electric circuit to simulate the different heat flow paths
![]() |
| A low mass path (single node - lm) | |
| A high mass path (triple node-hm). | |
| The air node (Ti) of the electric circuit is treated as a separate node. | |
| The ventilation, infiltration and environmental control (Rv) are all treated separately. | |
| All the internal masses are combined and treated as a single capacitor, including the floor (Cim). | |
| The heat gains through the floor are treated separately with the steady state resistance Rss. | |
| Convective heat gains (Qc) act directly on the air node. | |
| Radiative heat gains (Qr) are weighed according to surface area and act directly on the surface. | |
